Philosophy of Mindfulness
- The philosophy of Mindfulness is to develop the awareness that emerges when we pay attention to experience in particular ways: on purpose; in the present moment; and non-judgementally. (Kabaat-Zinn, 2013).
- Its concepts and ideas have been westernized by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts in 1979 and transferred into a programme labelled Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
