Negative Thinking

Negative thinking is a distorted and often false interpretation of the world (sometimes called rumination) which focuses exclusively on unpleasant events and results in pessimistic predictions.

Depression affects an individual’s performance in every facet of their life.

Depression reduces short-term memory – the ability to retain information concerning recent events.

Naturally, if this continues, the capacity to form, store and retrieve long-term information is also adversely affected.

This loss of memory leads to chaos in the day-to-day life of the person, and greatly diminishes their capacity to concentrate.
